Being the fierce queen she is, Her Madgesty Madonna reinvents her groove with some highly infectious "urban" R&B and Hip-Hop laced into what we'd otherwise think of as Pop. Critics had a lukewarm reception to her last album Confessions on a Dance Floor (although I certainly liked it). Some said her previous effort was too "cooked up". Her latest, Hard Candy, supposedly fares better since it showcases some of the biz's hottest producers (Hi, Timbaland and Pharell) working their magic.

Do you like this new direction she's taken? Download Hard Candy and be the judge. :)

Because I'm such a Haruhitard D:! Ufuuu weaboo post but i-it's Haruhi~

(ED FULL version not included, download separately. Link for it can be found under the cut!)

U-um, I was just listening to Hare Hare Yukai listening, not dancing, I s-swear! a-and bam! This idea came to my mind. There are a total of ten versions of Hare Hare Yukai, each from the different characters of the anime The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi: Haruhi, Kyon, Itsuki, Yuki, Mikuru, Ryouko, Tsuruya-san, Emiri, Kyon no Imouto and one where all three of the SOS Dan females are singing (ED full version). Its kind of fun to compare the different lyrics and instruments used per song, even though the melody is almost exactly the same. A-and so, even though this was kind of weaboo, ahahaha~ enjoy!

You feel your heart beating fast, right?Collapse )

Enjoy this compilation, everyone! To download everything via a .zip file, click that link below the album artwork.

Kindly comment if you download anything! Thank you!

[EDIT 01] alabapoy reminded me of something I forgot to upload! The version of the three girls (Haruhi, Yuki and Mikuru) singing together. This is also known as the one used as the anime's ending song (yeah, dance sequence baby!). I put it now as ver 10; so please download it too if you can, since its not part of the .zip file.

Once again, thanks!

So gaiz, heto ang isang banda na para sa akin ay WTFAWESOME. Pasensya na at ngayon lang ako nakapagupload, matagal ko na dapat itong ipopost pero HAX ang aking internet connection ngayon ;O;

On the surface, Paramita defy a number of usual rock band conventions. For one thing, they don’t have a frontman, in both the “front” and “man” sense. The band’s haunting vocal melodies come from a woman, which isn’t exactly uncommon these days, except that in this case, this woman does her singing from behind the drum kit. And fortunately, Ria Bautista is a deft and agile drummer who could effortlessly keep up with the technical idiosyncrasies of her seasoned bandmates, bassist Alsey Cortez and guitarist Marco De Leon. Onstage, Paramita are impressively tight, like a three-headed creature that moves as one; when it flies, all three heads know exactly where to go.. -Jason Caballa

Who wouldn't love a trip to the ice cream parlor? Dressing up cutely, cheerfully making your way to the colorful parlor, opening the door and hearing the tiny bells chime to announce your entrance, bouncing over to the selection of delicious frozen delights and awing at all the flavors, your heart pounding in excitement as you stare up at all the dishes available ...

More than trying to convince someone to go on an ice cream parlor date with me, today's song mix tries to emulate that of such an outing with a selection of happy bubbly songs about sugar, candies, and the sweetness of life. I hope you all enjoy them!

For mushroom18's "mix for stripping" request. ♥

Most songs were chosen not really for lyrical merit, but for mood and general tone. Pick your poison - start off with somthing subtle, or go straight to the pow-wow. Whatever boat you float, start your engines and ready that makeshift pole - it's time to get down and dirty.

Everyone knows Amy Winehouse's Grammy-winning album Back to Black containing the smash hit Rehab. Not many know that she actually released an album before all that - Frank. What I love about Amy is that she has the ability to showcase her powerful voice to jazzy, soulful or funky beats without any song in her repertoire sounding the same. The fact is especially showcased in her debut album.

For those who've been hesitant to listen to her because her various addictions seem like a turn off, give this one a try. You won't regret it. See the music behind the woman - it's fantastic. George Michael even called her "the best female vocalist I've heard in my entire life".

Perfume (パフューム, Pafyūmu) is a female J-pop and Electropop group consisting of three members from Hiroshima, Kashiyuka, Nocchi, and A~chan who debuted locally in 2001 and nationally in 2005. Since 2003 Perfume have been produced by Yasutaka Nakata, founder of the group capsule and the contemode label. From 2005 until 2008, Perfume has released six major singles. In 2007, Perfume released Polyrhythm, which became their first top 10 in the Oricon charts. Since then, Perfume has been breaking record after record with new singles. Their second album, Game, has been released on April 16, 2008.

--- taken from the Wiki article

I was first introduced to this group by lovenaught through their song, "Baby Cruising Love", and it was love at first beat. Their sweet voices combined with Nakata Yasukata's addictive beats are a wonder to listen to - they pull off technopop beautifully. Each song has a different flavor - some are peppy and upbeat, others soft and mellow, and a few, I'm quite sure, were influenced by old-school video game sound effects.

Without further ado, here are some of my favorite Perfume songs, plus a few bonus tracks not included in the zip file above, for your listening pleasure. Hope you all enjoy them!

i still love, i can't tear myself away from your wordsCollapse )
